Senior Consultant (business analyst)

The opportunity for you as a senior consultant is to help shape the consulting team; mentoring and developing people in your workstream, developing your practice and working on large projects that make a difference to the British public.

Your overall responsibilities will be to support business development activities, provide consultancy for our clients, leeding projects. Triage Technical Support Services

Providing service delivery of bespoke web application to our diverse customer base.

Supply diverse support management through service desk function:

  1. tier 1 : contact and capture,
  2. tier 2 : defining and incident investigating,
  3. tier 3 : problem management and change control.

You will need a history of working within structured support roles, proving the abilities to work precisely inside given support SLA / customer agreements. This job is predominently office based but may require offsite 3rd party face-2-face management.

You will need to be SC cleared, or be in a position where being processed would not be a problem.

Technical and Skill-set:

  • Good understanding of internet technologies and software, processes etc including certification and security issues.
  • Awareness of ITIL Service Delivery Best Practices, and preferably completion of Foundation level certification.
  • Windows family environment, as well as other operating systems, Linux etc (but not essential)
  • Exposure of network technology, understanding of diagrams, equipment and standard, 7 layer model etc.

Senior Digital Designer

This is an opportunity for a designer moving into her first senior role, to shape the user experience design deliverables and set the standard for design.

We are recruiting a senior visual designer to be part of the User Experience team. Working closely with information architects, usability researchers and interface developers, the senior designer will create engaging and user-friendly web sites and applications that reflect our clients’ brand values.

Overall responsibilities  

    • You will be responsible for creating the highest quality work from initial concepts through to final design.
    • A sound creative thinker and ideas generator who can work at concept level interpreting Information Architecture and Business Strategy into creative approaches, clearly communicating the design rationale to the rest of the business.

    SENIOR INFORMATION ARCHITECT

    This role is for an all-round information architect; with expertise in interaction design, top-down information architecture and usability.

    You will be working on new business ideas at pitch level as well as live projects, leading the user experience streams within projects, working directly with project managers, interface developers, technical teams and designers to create new and revise existing web sites.

      You will communicate with project and account managers regarding the status of specific projects.

      Demonstrate the following:

      • In-depth knowledge of and experience of information architecture
      • Knowledge of and experience in usability and interaction design
      • Experience working with content management systems
      • Experience in writing information architecture reports and working with designers, producers, and software developers

      SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER

      The Service Delivery manager will work closely with other departments of the company and with Suppliers and third parties, service levels, strategy and escalated issues are managed, communicated and controlled as effectively as possible. This will be done within a broadly ITIL framework.

      The ideal candidate is likely to have worked within an IT department or technical company and to have at least 3 years experience of service management.

      • Strong commercial awareness
      • Awareness and understanding of IT concepts
      • Able to structure and influence projects the approval of a business case
      • Comfortable negotiating and influencing at senior management level
      • Able to manage internal and external interfaces
      • Exposure to a formal IT methodology (e.g Prince II or ITIL)

      Key areas of responsibility

      Head of Service Delivery

      The Head of Service Delivery will work closely with other departments of the company  and with their Customers to ensure their IT requirements, service levels, strategy and escalated issues are managed, communicated and controlled as effectively as possible. This is high profile role which requires excellent communication skills coupled with the confidence to influence opinion at all levels.

      JOB SCOPE:

      • Management of a team of Service Delivery Managers and Service Desk Operators
      • Understanding new business requirements of customers and being a part of a team evaluating the financial viability and likely success of all new projects/bids/tenders
      • Have input into documentation  for bid/tender process
      • Assessing the impact of new initiatives on existing processes, procedures and practices.

This is an entry-level position in the program management domain and the primary function is to provide support in project tracking and reporting at a project level.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project / Programme Management Team - Manager

Software Engineer (.NET) - £35‐£45k

PROFILE
Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful applicant will be part of a small Development department of permanent and contract software engineering professionals working individually or as part of teams delivering projects for private and public sector customers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The applicant must have: a minimum of four years commercial software development using the .NET framework, a minimum of two years of which should be commercial experience in the development of web‐based applications; demonstrable knowledge and experience of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining multi‐server n‐tiered enterprise web applications, with an emphasis on security; Visual Studio 2005 Professional minimum (Team Suite preferred); .NET 2.0 and above (mainly C#, exposure to VB.NET would be useful) and ASP.NET 2.0; AJAX using .NET Framework; XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript; strong self and team organisational skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Ideally, the applicant will have: experience of WCF services (particularly web services and web service security); exposure to industry standard ORMs such as nHibernate; SQL Server 2005 minimum (T‐SQL – Profiling, performance tuning optional); VSS, Subversion (with Visual SVN); MOSS 2007 would be a significant advantage; practical experience of agile (preferably Scrum) principles, including Test‐Driven Development; experience in modelling using UML; experience in developing on relational databases including stored procedures; exposure to PRINCE2 approaches to project and programme management. This role owns the testing (quality assurance) function. The successful applicant will be managing a small team of permanent and contract test professionals working as part of teams delivering customer projects. The role owns the test strategy within the company as part of the overall development process and as a service product, as well as project‐specific requirements as part of delivery teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate credibility and authority within the team, the department and the Company as a whole, as well as to the Company’s clients, on all issues related to the testing of largely web‐based applications.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Web‐based application test experience, with strong, practical knowledge of common test tools and applications including the Mercury suite; strong knowledge of comprehensive test structure and strategy including: unit, system, integration and user acceptance testing (functional and nonfunctional ‐ given the nature of the solutions we develop, performance and scalability testing knowledge will be of particular importance); practical experience of agile (preferably Scrum) principles, including Test‐Driven Development, as well PRINCE2 approaches to project and programme management and how test and quality assurance fit with these; strong self and team
